We found Penny…

…way out west in the middle of Oregon, lonely and forgotten. She’d been completely stripped inside and was worse for wear after 38 years of trekking around the Pacific Northwest, but her engine still ran and at least three of her tires held air. Travis flew to Oregon with a suitcase full of tools and a few spare parts, hopped in and turned the key. Penny proved her worth, faithfully chugging along as they adventured across the Western US alongside beautiful rivers, up shivering mountain passes, and through rainy valleys.

By the time she reached her pitstop in Colorado, Penny knew she’d found her next big adventure.

Our original VW Bus, Guanella, brought us so much joy over the years that we started The ShutterBus to bring a taste of that joy to and adventure to others.
