I mean, she is still an empty, windowless, non-running shell of a VW bus, but at least she looks like she’s got some real\u00a0potential\u00a0<\/em>now. Before getting her back from paint, I think both of us were looking at each other with the ‘we’re crazy;\u00a0what have we gotten ourselves into?’\u00a0<\/em>look. Now, it’s just the ‘wow, we have a ton of work to do but this will be amazing when we’re done!’\u00a0<\/em>look.<\/p>\n

And that’s a good thing.<\/p>\n

To add icing to the cake, due to some strange circumstances which I’ll spare you the details of, the paint shop ended up charging us\u00a0$1,000 less than we had anticipated. The paint job isn’t world class or anything, but it’ll certainly do :). Can’t wait to get moving on painting the headliner, installing the windows, installing the new interior, figuring out where the 784 nuts, bolts, and screws I took off go, etc.<\/p>\n
